«Dialogo sui farmaci», rivista indipendente sui farmaci (senza finanziamenti dall’industria) e una delle testate italiane associate all’Isdb (International Society of Drug Bulletin), chiuderà entro il 31 dicembre. L’Ulss 20 di Verona e l’Azienda Ospedaliera di Verona hanno posto infatti in liquidazione la società «Dialogo sui Farmaci srl», costituita nel 2001 per gestire le attività editoriali della rivista.
A denunciarlo in una nota sono le altre quattro riviste italiane aderenti a Isdb, «Focus farmacovigilanza», «Ricerca&Pratica», «Informazione sui farmaci» e «Pacchetti informativi sui farmaci», con altre 5 testate italiane.
«Perdere le competenze e i valori acquisiti con impegno, serietà e profitto dalla redazione di “Dialogo sui farmaci” – scrivono i direttori delle riviste – ci sembra un errore che avrà ricadute non solo locali, ma anche regionali e nazionali». Su queste riviste si trovano informazioni sui farmaci che farebbero risparmiare parecchi soldi. «Se tutte le statine costassero come la simvastatina si risparmierebbero ogni anno 500 milioni di euro – continua la nota – e se gli ace-inibitori costassero come il ramipril si risparmierebbero altri 100 milioni e se i sartani costassero come gli ace-inibitori si ridurrebbe la spesa farmaceutica di 800 milioni».
Le riviste non hanno inserti pubblicitari, coprono le spese di produzione con la sottoscrizione di abbonamenti di singoli lettori o delle aziende sanitarie che abbonano i propri medici o di associazioni per i propri soci. Il budget annuo è di poco centinaia di migliaia di euro, «un’inezia per uno strumento di informazione e formazione per medici di famiglia, pediatri, farmacisti e chi opera in sanità – rilevano i direttori delle riviste – queste decisioni sembrano essere assunte solo sulla base della necessità di ridurre le spese senza considerare alcun indicatore di efficacia o inefficacia delle attività condotte. La spesa per l’informazione sui farmaci e per la formazione alla valutazione critico è considerata un costo e non un investimento».
