I piccoli stretti tra il caro-materie prime e gli sconti voluti dalle catene. È diventata una guerra fratricida che rischia di lasciare sul campo troppe vittime. La crisi dei consumi sta esasperando i rapporti tra grande distribuzione e piccoli produttori. Quest’ultimi lamentano sempre di più comportamenti e manovre che li penalizzano in un periodo in cui l’esistenza stessa delle loro aziende è a rischio.
Le lamentele dei piccoli produttori sono di vario tipo: c’è chi accusa la grande distribuzione di finanziare gli sconti delle «carte fedeltà» chiedendo un contributo straordinario a tutti i fornitori delle merceologie fresche (ortofrutta, carne, pesce, salumi, formaggi, gastronomia e panetteria), cioè uno sconto pari più o meno al 20% sul consegnato di una settimana. Poi c’è chi si lamenta della prassi consolidata secondo la quale in occasione dell’apertura di nuovi punti di vendita, del loro ampliamento o del rinnovo dei locali, la grande distribuzione chiede ai fornitori la remunerazione di presunte attività di co-marketing sui prodotti. Troppo per le spalle piccole dei produttori.

«Alcune prassi sono consolidate da sempre e sono uguali in tutto il mondo — spiega Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, presidente di Federdistribuzione — ma noi non dichiariamo la guerra ai piccoli imprenditori. Anzi, aumenterà ancora di più la loro incidenza nei nostri fatturati. A lungo, la grande distribuzione ha rappresentato l’unica ancora di salvezza per piccole realtà che faticavano con le banche e i fornitori. Adesso anche noi stentiamo, nessuno vuole arricchirsi sulle spalle del più piccolo, semplicemente il crollo dei consumi ha messo nell’angolo anche noi. Bisogna rimettere i soldi nelle tasche dei consumatori e non cedere alla tentazione, sostenuta da Confindustria, di aumentare l’Iva. Potrebbe far crescere l’export del 5 per cento ma contemporaneamente far crollare i consumi di un altro 4 per cento e quello sarebbe davvero un disastro».
Intanto i piccoli tracciano una situazione insostenibile che li vede chiusi tra due fuochi: da una parte l’aumento delle materie prime, dall’altro i prezzi fissi imposti dalla grande distribuzione. «Noi non vogliamo condurre una guerra contro la grande distribuzione — chiarisce subito Mirco Salsi, imprenditore romagnolo della pasta fresca ripiena —. Ognuno pensa al suo business e cerca di fare il meglio per se stesso. Però il rialzo incontrollato del costo di uova, farina, latticini e carne, solo per citarne alcuni, mette in ginocchio chi come noi non può aumentare il prezzo dei listi perché la grande distribuzione ce lo vieta. Molte catene hanno già promesso ai loro clienti che non aumenteranno i prezzi fino all’estate, questo non ci sembra corretto perché non tiene conto delle nostre richieste e non ci tiene in considerazione nemmeno per una serena trattativa sul tema».
Relazioni
Contrapposizione di interessi o fronte comune contro la crisi? È su questo snodo che si giocheranno le relazioni tra le due parti nell’immediato futuro. «Dobbiamo fare fronte comune al cospetto di una tempesta perfetta che si è abbattuta su di noi — afferma sicuro Vincenzo Tassinari, presidente di Coop Italia —. Bisogna capire che se non si restituisce potere d’acquisto alle famiglie ci impoveriamo tutti, grandi e piccoli. La gente non riesce più a spendere, c’è un ignorato spread del cibo, le varie manovre finanziarie hanno eroso ancora di più gli stipendi. E in una simile situazione saremmo noi gli unici colpevoli? Questo, più che mai, è il momento di serrare le fila e provare a dialogare. Il mondo della distribuzione italiana non è più l’isola felice: stiamo garantendo la spesa degli italiani con continui sconti e promozioni, se vogliamo dare una mano anche ai piccoli produttori, servono interventi statali per il rilancio dei consumi e poi investimenti per le infrastrutture e le grandi vie di comunicazione».
