La Miteni prepara una causa contro la Mitsubishi, ovvero la precedente gestione dello stabilimento di Trissino che, secondo un dossier dei carabinieri del Noe, da vent’anni sapeva di scaricare Pfas nelle acque del Veneto. «Quel dossier è stato elaborato in base a documenti sequestrati a Milano nel 2009, nella sede della Mitsubishi, che non ci ha mai detto nulla», precisano dalla Miteni, ora sotto inchiesta proprio per gli sversamenti citati.
Intanto l’azienda vicentina ha predisposto nuove iniziative: da ieri sul sito www.miteninforma.it si trovano i dati aggiornati sulle emissioni; sono stati posizionati altri 7 pozzetti accanto ai 39 nella barriera sotterranea che depura l’acqua della falda, ora pulita al 99%, percentuale che si vuole portare al 100%; la salute dei dipendenti è monitorata dal medico interno affiancato dallo Spisal. «E in più sono stati inseriti nello screening dei residenti nei 21 Comuni contaminati condotto dalla Regione con l’Istituto superiore di Sanità», dice il dottor Angelo Moretto, consulente dell’azienda. Che aggiunge: «Non c’è alcuna evidenza scientifica capace di provare la correlazione tra l’esposizione a Pfas e malattie, nemmeno nei lavoratori, nei quali si sono evidenziate concentrazioni 100mila volte superiori a quelle rilevate in persone non esposte. In qualcuno è emerso un aumento del 10% del colesterolo, ma l’associazione con i Pfas non è acclarata. Per portare a termine uno studio plausibile ci vorrebbero almeno due anni, ma nessuno scienziato se ne vuole assumere la responsabilità: troppe le variabili, a fronte di nessuna certezza».
In queste ore il Comitato del Consiglio di Bacino Valle del Chiampo ha deliberato di affidare ad Acque del Chiampo spa uno studio di fattibilità su un’opera che porti acqua senza Pfoa e Pfas da Valdagno alla zona rossa. Si tratta di un ramo secondario della grande dorsale che dovrebbe condurre acqua pulita tra le zone contaminate di Padova e Verona, e che collega la Valle dell’Agno a Montecchio. «Un’opera fattibile in 3-4 anni — dichiara il presidente Giorgio Gentilin — la fattibilità del progetto è già assodata. Tra gli interventi prioritari finalizzati ad apportare nel più breve tempo possibile un contributo di portata al centro idrico di Almisano è prevista una condotta di adduzione di collegamento tra il centro idrico Natta di Montecchio e il Madonna dei Prati di Brendola. Una tratta che permetterebbe già di portare 100 litri al secondo nell’area di Brendola e Lonigo, in attesa dei 500 del progetto più esteso, che riguarda la grande dorsale di rifornimento».
Per mettere in sicurezza le fonti idropotabili contaminate da Pfas sono stati individuati una serie di interventi sovra-provinciali finalizzati alla realizzazione delle condotte di adduzione primaria da fonti idropotabili alternative. Nell’incontro tecnico al Consiglio di Bacino Valle del Chiampo, lo scorso 14 settembre, i funzionari di Regione e Veneto Acque hanno illustrato il progetto delle nuove dorsali che consentiranno la creazione di un sistema di adduzione da fonti idropotabili alternative ai pozzi di Almisano, contaminati.
